Sometimes, one kid in the the kids room and the other in the living room at the same time, playing the same game (like Roblox). Everything I’m reading makes it sound like this would be impossible without me having to spend a butt load of money buying 2 digital copies of each game and each kid having Gold accounts.

Yes. You can even be playing them at the same time logged in as yourself usually. Have never tried playing the same game on both platforms simultaneously, but I've played plenty of times on both platforms logged in with my gamertag with no issues. Just to clarify I'm a bit confused.
Replied on November 20, 2018. Report abuse. Let's assume that your Home Xbox is Xbox A and your second console is Xbox B. Your son will need to sign onto Xbox A and play the game there. Then you would sign into Xbox B and play there. Make sure you each are using your own separate Microsoft accounts. 2 people found this reply helpful.
Then you can signout with that account, go and add the other MS account with other gamertag and no xbox live gold and they will then have gold access, if they then check my games and apps they should see all the games you digitally own and can install them and play them at the same time as you. I have 2 XBOX Ones. For some reason one seems a lot slower than the other. One is Black and is around 5 years old. One is the White one and got it 2 years ago. Latestest Fortnite update on the white newer one took 30mins. The older one 5 hours. When playing game older one has a lot more lag. They connect to same wifi.
